These are some of the famous Bridges over the
River Tyne. In front is the Tyne Bridge. (Any resemblance with
the Sidney Bridge is a pure coincidence). Next is the swing
bridge. further back is the High level Bridge, a rail Bridge with
cars on a deck beneath. In the far distance is the Queen
Elizabeth II Bridge (This is what the Tyne and Wear Metro runs on).

The Administrative centre of Newcastle upon Tyne Council

This is one of the side streets of Newcastle upon Tyne. The shop pictured in the foreground with the blue front, is the SPCK bookshop, a Church of England religious bookshop, which I frequent weekly for the Church of England Newspaper, although I am not C of E.
4) Boer War MemorialThis is the Haymarket end of town, where they have a memorial to the fallen in the Boer War. Recently they have put a small fountain nearby
5) Street Trader at Haymarket Metro Station.Throughout Newcastle you will find street traders selling things like fruit and veg or cassete tapes, towels etc. In order to trade, they must have a license from the council. The one in this shot trades cut flowers from outside the Haymarket Metro station.
6) Street Trader Northumberland StreetThis is a trader of fruit and veg, in Northumberland Street, one of Newcastle's major thoroughfares, which is pedestrianised, (i.e. no motor vehicles)
