19) The HoppingsDuring the last week of June, the hoppings arrives on Newcastle Town moor, and is Europe's largest traveling fairs. There are rides, food stalls, side shows etc. However in spite of its name it has nothing to do with brewing.
20) Monument MallThis is Newcastle's other shopping centre. It is smaller than Eldon Square and has four levels, the top being where the cafe's are. (One level is a basement level and opens onto the Monument Metro Station concourse)
21) The Church of St Thomas the MartyrThis is one of Newcastle's main city centre churches, and is situated at the Haymarket end of town. It is the church next to the civic centre and has a large glass front door. There is also a mini coffee bar inside, and at time they hold sales of charity cards.
22) Street Plant containersThis is one of a number of plant holders that used to be on the main thoroughfare, possibly for Britain in Bloom ?

24) Leazes ParkLike a number of towns, Newcastle has a park called Leazes park, which is jealously guarded by the good people of Newcastle. There is also a small lake called Leazes Lake, where ducks and geese live. In the summer you can hire a small boat.
