Cooking and Baking

I used to do a bit of cake baking, but now my computer demands my attention and I have not baked many cakes for a while

 

Photography

I learnt my photography on standard 35mm film, and because of my computer I have switched to digital. I do have to point out that where 35mm scores over digital is in low light conditions. Meanwhile I have done some photographs of Newcastle and some are posted here

 

Multi Media

I first foray in to home video has been on 8mm video, and most of my stuff was just of around where I live and occasional trips away. For the most part my audience was my Mum and Dad, when I sent them the 8mm tape through the post. Occasionally I would send a VHS tape, as I was trying to add a music track. (which was fiddly).

Now my home movies have moved into the digital world thanks to the use of a Fuji digital camera and Windows Movie Maker. Some of my efforts can be seen here bringing my skills to the wider world of the internet and also I now put up my efforts on YouTube. Enjoy!

 

Reading

The activity, not the Berkshire town. I tend to get my books from Amazon Why not purchase some yourself.

 

Church activities

I am a member of the Newcastle church of Christ, which meets at the Kingston Park Community centre, Brunton Lane, Kingston Park, Newcastle upon Tyne at 10:30 AM. The churches of Christ plea for a return to New Testament Christianity, as it was in the beginning. In 1996 I traced a congregation of the Newcastle church of Christ from the 1830's to the 1950's. The current congregation has been here since the early to mid 1980's. The website for our congregation is on this link

 

Current Affairs

I like listening to the radio, to keep me informed, my favourite station is BBC Radio 4

 

Home Computer!

My computer takes a lot of time, and being on Blueyonder Broadband I tend to live in cyberspace (virtually). 

I have constructed a number of web sites and I also look after one for a local self help group. (See the other sites here)

I also spend a lot of time on internet forums. Although I signed up to a lot of them, I only really check three on a regular basis.
